Initial In-Home Assessment

Service Description

This is our first real working session together, and for most families, it’s the most valuable service we offer. Linus will come to your home to see what your dog’s life actually looks like: the layout, the sounds, the routines, the doorbell drama, the leash setup, the dog’s favorite spots, and the moments where things go sideways. We’ll observe how your dog communicates (and how you communicate back), identify patterns and triggers, and demonstrate simple, doable exercises you can use immediately. An assessment is part detective work, part relationship-building. We’re not here to “test” your dog or judge your parenting! We’re here to understand what your dog is telling us, what skills are missing, and what the environment is reinforcing. You’ll leave the session with: • A clearer picture of what’s driving the behavior (stress, arousal, uncertainty, habit, environment) • 2–4 starter exercises tailored to your dog and your household • Management tools to reduce chaos right away (setups, routines, equipment tweaks) Afterward, we follow up with a custom training plan and clear next steps, even if you decide not to book more sessions. It’s a roadmap you can use with us or on your own.
