Bored dog? Learn how to DIY puzzle toys from household scraps for endless enrichment.
Service Description
A playful, hands-on workshop for dogs (and humans) who want more enrichment and mental stimulation with less spending and waste. In DIY Toy Necromancy, Linus shows you how to turn ordinary household items (and your dog’s beloved “toy carcasses”) into both destroyable and reusable enrichment toys: stuffable, scatterable, shreddable puzzles that give your dog something to do when they're antsy, make meals more satisfying, and make your dog’s brain pleasantly tired. This isn’t about perfect Pinterest crafts. It’s about learning a few flexible “recipes” you can remix forever, using what you already have. This workshop is especially helpful for: • Dogs who inhale meals and need slower, more satisfying feeding • Busy or rainy-day households that need low-effort enrichment at home • Mouthy, chewy, or easily-bored dogs who crave a job • Humans who want enrichment that’s affordable, customizable, and not cluttery What we do: • Learn the why behind enrichment (and how to choose the right difficulty) • Build multiple toy styles: quick “one-minute” puzzles, durable reusables, and safe shreddables • Practice “leveling up” and “leveling down” so your dog doesn’t get frustrated or checked out • Talk safety + setup: supervision, materials to avoid, sizing, and how to keep it worth your dog’s time • Troubleshoot for different dogs (power chewers, sensitive mouths, multi-dog households) You’ll leave with a small toolkit of DIY toy templates, plus a simple guide for rotating toys and adjusting difficulty so you can create enrichment that fits your dog, your budget, and your real life. It’s not a full behavior consult, but it’s a powerful foundation for calmer, happier days.
